JUTLP’s Open Access Publishing Association (OAPA)
on the 27 July 2023Editors of the Journal of University Teaching and Learning Practice (JUTLP) have established the Open Access Publishing Association (OAPA). OAPA is intended to provide a secure and sustainable platform for Open Access Journals such as Scopus/WoS-indexed JUTLP. It is an independent NFP, funded by individual and institutional membership fees and course fees. Learning and development programs are overseen by the OAPA Learning and Development committee:
- Seminar series, beginning October 2023, on academic practices related to learning, teaching and publishing. The first seminar topic will be The Effects of AI on Learning and Teaching, presented by well-cited international authors with more than 40,000 full-text downloads among the authors on AI in L&T since January 2023.
- Short courses, suitable for training academics (especially PhD candidates and early career researchers) in editor and reviewer skills applied to higher education research. OAPA’s first course – FOUNDATIONS OF ACADEMIC JOURNAL EDITING – is scheduled to start 10 August 2023.
