Shannon Johnston's Profile

I am lecturer for professional learning at Murdoch University within the PVC(Education) portfolio. My role is about supporting and enhancing teaching for learning across Murdoch. I have worked as an academic for eLearning (UWA), learning design and curriculum development (Curtin, QUT, UQ), and on-going and sessional academic (TESOL - Griffith; Indonesian - UQ, Notre Dame). My initial career in Indonesian language teaching morphed into working with others on their teaching and learning practice and designs. My PhD identified issues in capacity for educators to change practice / innovate which covered curriculum pressures, context and environment of learning factors, and teacher personal practical theories of learning and teaching.
