Professor Nina Fotinatos is currently the Deputy, Pro Vice Chancellor (Learning and Teaching) for Federation University. She led the higher education central learning and teaching department for almost 10 years and has extensive experience in leadership, management, governance and building positive high functioning teams. She has widespread experience in academic professional development particularly supporting reward and recognition initiatives. In additional, she is a strong supporter of peer review, benchmarking and implementing continuous improvement systematic processes that lift the quality of the student experience, academic support and the quality of the units and courses taught across Federation University. Professor Fotinatos has led the several university submissions such as the TEQSA Re-registration (2023), the National Priority Industry Linkage Fund (2022-2022) annual reporting and the Bronze Level Award for SAGE Athena SWAN (2019). She is a positive advocate for the Australian Awards for University Teaching (AAUT) and has been an assessor for over 10 years. Her research interests’ range across several areas including leadership, human resources management and innovation in learning and teaching practice.
