Member Inactive Pro Vice Chancellor (Education) and ProfessorI am passionate about teaching excellence, learner engagement and student success. I create the institutional conditions for building staff and student capacity in learning, teaching, support and wellbeing in the higher education sector. I focus on enabling embedded and holistic support, engaging and innovative curriculum and future-focused initiatives that push professional practice to the forefront of higher education innovation. At Murdoch University, I lead a number of whole-of-university initiatives that include: • Connected career learning, including a range of Students-as-partners initiatives • Digital design and technology enabled learning innovation • Physical and virtual learning spaces • Professional learning, reward and recognition • Support for student learning, equity, wellbeing and inclusion • Access programs and pathways for students entering higher education • Student success for all Murdoch University students My current research areas are leadership development in learning and teaching, digital disruption and the role of technology in educational spaces and places, and the value of professional learning conversations.
