2024 CAULLT Academic Development Award
We look forward to hearing from these six finalists at the Academic Development Day in Adelaide on the 24 October, 2024.

The 2024 CAULLT Academic Development Award recognises outstanding academic development practices and is open to staff from CAULLT member institutions. All finalists will be invited to present their good practices at the 2024 Academic Development Day, where award recipients will be announced.
Criteria for Awards
- Principles of good learning and teaching: Clear principles of good learning and teaching are addressed by your good practice, including a well-reasoned driver/rationale/‘why’ of the academic development at the heart of the nomination. These principles are clearly and succinctly explained and underpinned by cited scholarship (reference to the literature/ precedents in practice).
- Innovative and/or distinctive: The practice is innovative and/or distinctive in its approach to addressing a contextual need (organisational strategic priorities, academic cohort, and/or disciplinary academic practices).
- Impact: The scale and reach of your good practice are outlined and evidence of its value, impact, and influence on the learning and teaching practice of others is provided. (Scale and reach will be relative to opportunity and the purpose of the initiative.)

The Inaugural CAULLT/HERDSA Award for Outstanding Leadership in Research and Development in Higher Education
The Inaugural CAULLT/HERDSA Award for Outstanding Leadership in Research and Development in Higher Education 2023 was announced at the HERDSA 2024 conference.
The Award recognises evidence of an individual’s innovative and effective leadership in higher education research and development in a broad range of categories that enhances teaching, learning, and student experience in higher education.

Notification of Finalists: 20 September 2024
Announcement of Winners: 24 October

The 2024 CAULLT/ASCILITE Award for Outstanding Leadership in Digital Learning in Higher Education
The CAULLT / ASCILITE award for Outstanding Leadership in Digital Learning in Higher Education recognises evidence of an individual’s innovative and effective leadership in the broad use of digital technologies to enhance teaching, learning, and overall performance in higher education.
You must be a staff member of a CAULLT member university or an ASCILITE member to submit a nomination.
Successful winners will be jointly announced by CAULLT and ASCILITE at the annual ASCILITE Conference Awards Ceremony (usually held in late November / early December).
