Virtual Conference: Meeting the Challenge of Student Mobility in a Global Pandemic
13 November 2020 (9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Hong Kong/Perth Time; 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Sydney Time)

Registration is open.

The global pandemic is dramatically changing the landscape of higher education and the internationalisation agenda. Many concerns have been raised around the access to international learning opportunities, the issue of equity, and well-being of both local and international students. The University of Hong Kong has partnered with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong Baptist University, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University to enhance teachers’ capacity for internationalisation through a community of practice (https://www.cetl.hku.hk/cop-itl/).

This virtual conference, our finale event, brings together experts, students, teachers, and institutional leaders to brainstorm approaches to tackling the challenges and turn them into opportunities. We are honoured to have keynote speakers Prof. Betty Leask, Dr. Darla Deardorff, Prof. Ly Tran, and Prof. Fazal Rizvi to share their insights.

This conference is open to all — teachers and students worldwide are welcome — and is free of charge.
