CAULLT Conference – programs available

Registrations are open for the next CAULLT conference Leading Higher Education: Near and Far Horizons to be held on 28 and 29 October. The conference will run from 11am to 2pm AEDT on both days. Registration for each day is separate and listed under “Upcoming events” on the CAULLT web page.

Planning seems impossible amidst the immediate and urgent demands of managing learning and teaching. And yet, university leaders in learning and teaching are forced to cast their eyes forward to consider unknown challenges and imagine possible futures. Prof. Sally Kift will in her keynote provoke thoughts about what is needed now in the leadership in learning and teaching. Prof. Romy Lawson (Interim Vice Chancellor, Murdoch University), Prof. Angela Hill (Deputy Vice Chancellor Education, ECU) and Prof. Steven Warburton (Executive Principal Education Futures, UNE) will in their keynote panel discuss the near and far horizons they are faced with.  Assoc. Prof. Agnes Bosanquet (Macquarie University), Dr. Alyce Mason (UOW), Assoc. Prof. Barbie Panther and Danni McCarthy (Deakin University) will provide us with snapshots of how they have responded to the immediate challenges of leading learning and teaching during a pandemic.

On Friday, the nominees-only day, Lisa Bolton (Social Research Centre) will highlight what can be learnt from interrogating QILT data and how these insights can inform planning for the far horizon. In addition, Assoc. Prof. Marina Harvey, Dr. Andrea Adam and Prof. Jillian Hamilton as well as Prof. Helen Partridge and Dr. Kate Davis will present on their respective CAULLT projects.

Registration for each day is separate as the first day is open to all and the second only to member nominees. Please register for each day if you are a nominee of your institution. The programs and abstracts can be accessed by clicking on the links below.
